I realize that we still have a week left in February, so my posts will continue to be about my flamingo obsession. Are you getting sick of flamingos yet?
When I posted about Dandy trying on new wings, Joanne asked if I was going to follow this with information about how I was spreading my own wings. I loved the idea and said I would think about doing that for March.
I also recently posted about just jumping into the things that make us happy in order to find real success in life. Oh, to be doing that which makes me happy!
Well, the trouble is, I don’t always know what makes me happy, and I am sometimes too afraid of failing to try. What’s worse than fear of failure- the inability to figure out how to begin.
One thing I want to do is finish my children’s drawing books. I decided to start working on my drawing skills again. I don’t think it is the most stunning flamingo, but the thing is I am at least trying. I don’t have copies of my first letters ever written, but I am sure they didn’t look exactly like the letters I am typing now. We all have to start somewhere.
I like my flamingo, though I don’t think I have the proportions just right. It is still visibly a flamingo – that’s a start.
In March, I hope to write about my goals/plan to make my life more meaningful and successful. I hope to write regular posts about the steps I am taking to reach my goals.
I hope you will join me and possibly even dedicate March to your own personal plan, after all, my theme is Inspired to Write, Writing to Inspire.
Just curious, are you sick of flamingos yet?
I’m kinda liking the Flamingos. I think they get a bad wrap.

Oh, that is a relief. I think part of the reason I like them so much is because we moved to Florida when I was 13. Throughout my high-school years, my mother would complain about people having plastic lawn ornaments. It’s my teenage rebellion.
Plus, it’s inspiring me.

If we don’t like the flamingos (at least enjoy you liking them) why would we still read you? 🙂

The one in the fire pit made me sad. I was glad to see he didn’t remain in there for long. 🙂

I can’t believe how obsessed I seem to have become with them. Realistically, they serve a purpose… they distract me from what would be unbearable reality. I am ready to bid adieu to February, not the ‘mingos.

Nope — not sick of them at all. They are a bright (pink) spot for sure.

Flamingo dancing, yes, I’ll never get the hang of it but sick of Dandy? Never! 🙂

The flamingos are inspiring you to write AND draw! So I would say that’s a marvelous thing! You’ve become pretty creative this month with flamingo adventures 🙂
