Do

Today is Saturday and I am going to participate in Linda Hill’s  Stream of Consciousness Saturday challenge for the first time in a long time. Here is the link if you want to read other bloggers’ take on the challenge, or if you want to participate.

Today’s challenge is to start the post with a two letter word and to end with a two letter word. So here goes….

Do you ever feel as if you are on top of everything? I spent the month of April participating in the atozchallenge and I was able to complete a post a day for both my blogs. Then May came along, and I have not written a thing for either blog since. In fact, I have not read any blogs. That is just horrible. I am definitely not on top of the blogging world.

Now, as I typed the month May, I was reminded of a song from a musical (no, I have no clue what musical it is, but the song is always in my head). The words go “March came in like a lion, a whipping up the meadow and the mill, then April came and brought some rain, and along came pretty little May…” Now that I think about it, it was probably Oklahoma, and of course my brain is spelling it out – arg, 20 some years after participating in that play the words won’t leave my head.

Anyhow, I think this year Mother Nature forgot the lyrics to this song because April wasn’t really rainy and May sure has been. Fortunately today is sunny and pretty and a good day to go outside. So, the point is – even Mother Nature doesn’t have everything together.

Today I am not going to try to get everything together. I am just going to read my book for Tuesday’s bookclub, write this post, read a few other posts, plant my herb garden, and call it a day. That’s successful enough, isn’t it?

What, on this beautiful day, will you do?

Sounds like a good relaxing day. Enjoy!
Today, I’m going to work on my novel for a little bit, do a quick moderate workout, and then go see a Cirque du Soleil show. And that will be it.

I’ve already complained about the rains at length. Much as I love the rain, I can’t get anything done outside and it’s makin me crazy.
That song is from Carousel 🙂

    • Thank you for always knowing the answers to my questions. I must have sung that for voice lessons because I never saw Carousel, which explains why I can’t remember anymore of it than that one part. I looking forward to June busting out all over!

I was going to answer about the song (June is Busting Out All Over) but i see Joey beat me to it. I was supposed to work inside today, on my computer, on some plans I need to complete for a building permit. But, it was warm and sunny and we worked outside instead.

It has been super rainy around here this month as well. I feel you on not wanting to do as much blog stuff after April. AtoZ is fun, but it can burn you out!
