Sometimes I am simply the luckiest person alive. A loved one is remodeling her kitchen and asked if I wanted this. Well, of course I wanted it. I knew exactly where it would go. It is now hanging in my “Angel Tree” which shades the Fairy “Chair Time” chairs and table.
I had bird seed which only once filled a gnome bird feeder. I stopped filling it after I realized it was happily used by a very fat squirrel. I have nothing against squirrels, but the acorns should be enough for them.
I am happy to have a place to put the seed that will be eaten by the birds for which it was intended.
I have been devoting a lot of thought and energy on my Fairy/Angel garden. I hope the new addition is welcoming.

I feed my squirrels by hurling food to the tree in front of my house. I do have a corn cob for them, there, too, but I moved the feeder close to the house, and they no longer bother it.

Oh, I forgot, the squirrels have corn as well as acorns. They could leave the feeder alone. My Fairy/Angel garden is in a small area between my house and a fence, so I am encouraged by your words.
